The ETA is a digital travel permit that must be applied for online before arrival. It is quick to obtain and is linked electronically to your passport. We encourage attendees to check their eligibility and requirements for the ETA on the official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/\"><u>UK government website<\/u><\/a>, in advance of the Forum.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-026e61c-e658169 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"026e61c\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"026e61c\">An ETA costs \u00a320. Other websites may charge more to apply, so avoid websites that imitate government services.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 data-interaction-id=\"e8df32a\" class=\"e-e8df32a-d86553c e-heading-base e-default-h2\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"e8df32a\">Whether you are eligible to apply for an ETA depends on the nationality shown on your passport:<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-ca4fce2-1bc6dd0 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"ca4fce2\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"ca4fce2\"><ul><li>You usually need an ETA rather than a visa if you\u2019re from Europe, the USA, Australia, Canada or certain other countries.<\/li><li>Other nationalities cannot get an ETA and they need a UK visa.<\/li><\/ul><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-94007fd-83131a7 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"94007fd\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"94007fd\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/check-uk-visa\"><u>Check if you need an ETA or visa to come to the UK<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-964f9df e-con e-atomic-element e-div-block-base e-default-section e-964f9df-9cc22b9 \" data-id=\"964f9df\" data-element_type=\"e-div-block\" data-e-type=\"e-div-block\" data-interaction-id=\"964f9df\" data-e-type=\"e-div-block\" data-id=\"964f9df\">\n    \t\t\t<h2 data-interaction-id=\"e924ea0\" class=\"e-e924ea0-4226ff3 e-heading-base e-default-h2\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"e924ea0\">Conference invitation letters for visa applications<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-7efbd70-d57ab25 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"7efbd70\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"7efbd70\">The Organising Secretariat can provide a Letter of Invitation to assist with your visa application. Please note the following:<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-93fbdb6-098b34e e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"93fbdb6\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"93fbdb6\"><ul><li><strong>Payment Requirement:<\/strong> Letters will only be issued after full payment of conference registration fees has been confirmed.<\/li><li><strong>Processing Time:<\/strong> Please allow 5\u20137 business days for the Secretariat to process your request.<\/li><li><strong>No Guarantee:<\/strong> An invitation letter does not guarantee a visa grant; the final decision rests solely with the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).<\/li><li><strong>Scope of Assistance:<\/strong> The Organising Secretariat will not be able to help you with the visa procedure itself. Each participant is responsible for contacting his\/her embassy. The Secretariat cannot contact embassies on behalf of participants or intervene in the adjudication process.<\/li><\/ul><\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-66ad9ba e-con e-atomic-element e-div-block-base e-default-section e-66ad9ba-d357834 \" data-id=\"66ad9ba\" data-element_type=\"e-div-block\" data-e-type=\"e-div-block\" data-interaction-id=\"66ad9ba\" data-e-type=\"e-div-block\" data-id=\"66ad9ba\">\n    \t\t\t<h2 data-interaction-id=\"0ee901f\" class=\"e-0ee901f-95c8cdb e-heading-base e-default-h2\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"0ee901f\">Important notes &amp; policies<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-93ab6c6-6ddc7b7 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"93ab6c6\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"93ab6c6\"><ul><li><strong>Processing Time:<\/strong> Standard UK visa processing generally takes around 3 weeks (15 working days) after your biometric appointment and submission of all required documents. However, processing times may vary depending on the type of visa and the volume of applications.<\/li><\/ul><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-7fd395c-c5cc2e5 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"7fd395c\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"7fd395c\"><strong>We strongly recommend starting the visa application process at least 60 days before your intended departure date to allow sufficient time for appointment availability, document preparation, and any additional requests from the UK visa authorities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"e-b731b0a-5874b20 e-paragraph-base e-default-p\" data-interaction-id=\"b731b0a\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-id=\"b731b0a\"><ul><li><strong>Visa Rejections:<\/strong> In the event of a visa denial, the conference refund policy will apply. You will be required to submit an official notice of refusal from the Embassy.
